Super Bowl Impacts Real Estate

Can not wait until the Super Bowl Sunday has come and gone.  Although I'm always up for a good party and of course the 49er's are awesome, the fact that our local team is in the Super Bowl definitely impacts the real estate market.  In our area, Sunday Open Houses, are mandatory.  However, with the play off games and then the Super Bowl looming, sellers and listing agents are holding off on putting houses on the market for fear that no one will show up for the Sunday Open House.  A few agents have been holding Saturday Open Houses which surprisingly get a good turn out.  January and February are often slow months for housing inventory, but it seems even worse this year due to the big game.  As I tell my clients who are buyers - PATIENCE.  More inventory will be coming in mid February.
